Description

Fenugreek seeds are widely recognised for their benefits in promoting hair health and boosting breast milk production in lactating women. Additionally, they are believed to help regulate cholesterol levels, lower blood sugar, boost testosterone, reduce inflammation, and support weight loss.

How to Sprout Seeds in Glass Jars

Step 1: Add 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds to a glass jar, then cover the seeds with filtered water (about 3 cm above the seeds). Let them soak overnight.

Note: The water that the fenugreek seeds are soaked in is one of the only seeds where the water can be drunk, as it contains beneficial nutrients.

Step 2: Cover the jar’s opening with a thin, clean chux washcloth and secure it with a rubber band.

Step 3: After 24 hours, drain the water through the chux cloth and rinse the seeds with fresh water. Once drained, leave the jar on its side to continue draining. The residual moisture will help the seeds begin sprouting. Rinse and drain the seeds twice daily (morning and night) to keep them moist until they sprout. They’re ready to eat when they are 1-2 cm long.

Step 4: To store the sprouts, rinse them with fresh water, pat them dry with a tea towel, and place them in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
