3-Stage Filtration Process

Stage 1: Pleated 5 Micron Sediment Cartridge

Stage 2: Radial Flow Carbon Block Cartridge

Stage 3: Advanced Specialty Media Cartridge

• Additional removal of chlorine/chloramines and fluoride

Important Notes

• Installation: Must be completed by a licensed plumber (not included).
• Location: Install at the main water entry point. Protect from direct sunlight to prevent UV damage and avoid heat build-up inside the housings (which could encourage bacterial growth).
• Before Use: Flush system for 10 minutes after installing new filters to clear loose carbon particles.
• Filter Life: Approx. 12 months (depending on water quality, turbidity, organic load, and pH).
• Bypass Line: Strongly recommended for convenience and safety:
  • Allows water flow if housings are damaged
  • Provides full water pressure during emergencies (e.g. bushfires)

How it Works: A Three-Stage Approach

Our triple filtration system is engineered to provide sequential, highly effective water purification:

1. Stage 1: Advanced Sediment & Particulate Filtration (GE Osmonics MBB Large Diameter Filter)

• Key Feature: This initial stage employs the GE Osmonics MBB Large Diameter Filter, which incorporates innovative depth filter technology and Meltblown Microfiber Technology.
• Benefit: The filter’s engineered gradient density provides exceptional dirt-holding capacity and unequalled life compared to standard filters. This significantly reduces change-out frequency, translating into longer filter life and fewer replacements, ultimately saving you money. It effectively captures particles throughout the entire filter depth, ensuring consistent high-performance filtration.
• Construction: Made from pure FDA compliant polypropylene using an ISO 9001 certified process, ensuring high purity, no wetting agents, solvents, antistatic agents, or binders, and wide chemical compatibility. This stage also allows for high flow rates with low pressure drop.
• Purpose: To protect the subsequent, finer filters from larger sediments, rust, and debris, extending the overall system’s lifespan and efficiency.

2. Stage 2: Comprehensive Chemical & Contaminant Reduction (AquaCera Carbon System / KX MATRIKX® CTO)

• Key Feature: This crucial stage leverages the power of AquaCera carbon systems or KX MATRIKX® CTO filters to address a broad spectrum of chemical contaminants.
• Benefit (AquaCera): AquaCera carbon systems are designed to protect your family from a wide range of contaminants, including, but not limited to, chlorine, chloramine, lead, mercury, VOCs, pesticides (e.g., Atrazine, DDT), industrial solvents (e.g., Benzene, Trichloroethylene), pharmaceuticals, and many more complex organic and inorganic compounds. This stage is key to ensuring safer, better-tasting water by targeting numerous known pollutants.

Important Considerations:

• Water Source: The AquaMetix® filter blocks are designed for use only with microbiologically safe and adequately disinfected water supplies, as they are not designed to kill or remove bacteria or viruses.
• Performance Variability: Actual filter performance may be influenced by the housing, source water’s organic content, turbidity, pH, or other conditions encountered in actual use.
• Flushing: Filters should be flushed for a minimum of 10 minutes prior to use, preferably with warm water.
