Grate apple and ginger in large serving bowl
Add chia and mix well to stop chias from clumping
Add coconut, cinnamon, sunflower seeds & remaining ingredients. Stevia or
alternate sweetener (i.e. dates etc), can be added then mix again let stand for a few minutes or overnight to let the chias absorb fluid.

This recipe can be made at night for the morning and this allows the chia seeds to fully swell.


  • 1 large Granny Smith apple -grated
  • Fresh grated ginger to taste, approx 1 ½ inches – optional
  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut
  • 4 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 300-500 mls fresh homemade almond milk (or alternate milk or water)
  • Cinnamon to taste approx 1teaspoon
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 Dessertspoon sunflower seeds
  • 1 Dessertspoon activated buckwheat
  • 5 drops of stevia or ½ tsp greens stevia powder (not as sweet as the bleached white stevia powder)
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • chopped dates or sultanas could be added
